Artist Biography

Fri Oct 12, 2007, 1:07 PM
Carol Bold is a Northern California native whose western roots are evident in her vibrant use of color. Born and raised in Pacifica, her family moved north to San Francisco prior to her starting high school. While Carol had always been artistically inclined, it wasn’t until this move that the prospect of being a serious artist truly presented itself.

Two years after the move Carol transferred to the SF School of the Arts High School and later went east to the Maryland Institute, College of Art, where she received her BFA in the spring of 2007.

Currently residing in Baltimore, Carol continues to make art at the Load of Fun Studios, and is actively involved with a number of community based groups and projects in the area. She has exhibited work in a number of shows in the Baltimore area, and is presently working on proposals for different residency programs around the world.
